Jared Bleak
Jared is a strategist, business advisor, and thought leader specializing in accelerating leadership, formulating strategy, increasing performance, and leading change. Jared helps companies and leaders achieve greater levels of effectiveness, productivity and success. He has advised and coached executives from some of the world’s leading global companies, including Coca-Cola, Nike, Verizon, American Express, PwC, Citi, Chanel and others. He consults and speaks regularly on talent strategy, team performance, change leadership, and other topics.
A former partner with Mercer Consulting and former Executive Director at Duke Corporate Education, Jared has also served as faculty in Duke University’s Psychology & Neuroscience Department and as a visiting lecturer in The Harvard Institute for Higher Education and the Executive Leadership and Management Institute at Stanford University. He began his career at Harvard University.
Currently, Jared is a managing partner with Appian, an advisory firm specializing in talent strategy and leader development. He is the author of four books, most recently, The Leadership Check-Up, with Tom Hughes. He also co-authored The Leadership Advantage: How the Best Companies are Developing Their Talent for Future Success. He has written and published numerous other book chapters and articles and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Financial Times, and other business and education publications.
He holds masters and doctoral degrees from Harvard University.
